Research call 2013
CIRCLE-MED launched a second call for projects in 2013 with the following topic:
Adaptation to Climate Change from a natural and social science perspective: Water in coastal Mediterranean areas
The aim of this call to encourage scientific cooperation between social and natural scientists in order to find novel solutions for transnational water-related climate change adaptation challenges in support to public policies.
The funding was provided by 3 funders from France, Portugal and Greece. A condition was that the proposals include teams from each of these countries.
Six project proposals were evaluated by peer reviewers and then submitted to an evaluation committee. In final, given the available funds, two projects were selected for funding:
ADAPT-MED: Is current decision making “adapted to internalise adaptation” into policy making?
MEMOTRADE: Social memory of water-related trades and practices: local knowledge and climate change adaptation
